If you do not want to replace your wireless network with QoS access points, simply add the NEC AP400 access point. The Access Point (DAP) is a compact, easily installed, plug-and-play radio that provides wireless telephony to IPnetworks. The DAP has 12 channels with the capacity for up to 11 simultaneous duplex calls per DAP Access Point (one channel is reserved for control signaling between DECT AccessPoints).
This handset has a robust design and a very rich set of standard features such as a trembler, hands-free mode, uSD memory card and micro USB interface. The G566 IP DECT Handset is part of the next generation CAT-iq enabled IP DECT solution that will offer HD-Voice. Well known features like central directory, messaging, personal alarming and easy handset swapping are also available. The handset will come with different warring options like belt clips and pouches. The G566 also has different charging options like dual desktop charger, multi charger rack and built-in USB charging port. In addition the G566 offers extensive messaging capabilities.

For the user that wants more wireless phone keys for easier use, try the NEC ML440.
The ML440 handset uses a rechargeable lithium battery pack that provides 20 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time.
These handsets don’t just offer excellent voice quality, with an intuitive LCD screen and simple menu-driven navigation the ML440 handset also offers a range of features including personal phonebook, courtesy mode, redial function, and integrated speakerphone to name but a few.
On the PBX side of the connection, each ML440 handset requires one IP license on the NEC Voice server.

Each phone has four (4) programmable keys that can line appearances, DSS keys or feature keys.
The ML440 also uses it’s own access point, the AP20 from NEC.
The AP20 is an Omni-directional radio base station that connects directly to the LAN via a L2 switch port, just like the NEC DT7XX series desk phones. Each AP20 is used to provide coverage over a certain area, the size of which depends on the configuration of buildings and other infrastructure characteristics, allowing users to move around freely.
Main characteristics of the AP20 (DAP):
- Secure Air interface
- Crystal clear speech and seamless handover
- Connects directly to the LAN/Ethernet (10/100 Mb)
- External power or Power over Ethernet (802.32f)
The AP20 are mounted on walls or ceiling so that each base-station is separated from each other by up to 70 feet indoors. NOTE: These distances are approximate and location placement of bases will be determined by the radio environment of the enterprise building.
If your business supplies smartphones to their employees the best option might be the uMobility Application from NEC. It allows a smartphone to connect to the NEC system using an App.
The App will even switch the call from the wi-fi network to the cellular network as you get out of range of the company’s wireless network.
